The holiday season is upon us, and there are lots of free things to do in Paris this month!

We’re hitting the road today to visit the Christmas market in Strasbourg, which is famous. I’ve always wanted to go.

12/1 Paris Christmas Markets

12/2 Practices of Rural Turkish Farmers – Photo Exhibition

Check out this free photo exhibition on rural Turkey at the Institut de Recherche et d’Etudes Méditerranée et Moyen-Orient (IReMMO). 12/3 Game Night at O’Paris

12/4 Student Workshops on Sustainable Development

12/5 Dramatic Reading of Guy de Maupassant

12/6 Global Hip-Hop Show

The Christmas tree in Place de la Concorde is the site of lots of fun activities and shows from December 6 until January 3. Spongebob Squarepants will make an appearance at the tree lighting on December 6th. Check on Nickelodeon’s websitefor a calendar of events.

12/30 Ice Skating in Paris

Check out one of Paris’s free ice skating rinks at Hôtel de Ville or Trocadero. Skate rental is €5. There are also rinks with paid admissions at Grand Palais and on the Champs Elysées. No rinks at Montparnasse or on the Eiffel Tower this year.
